Yorkshire and Humber Neonatal ODN Work Foundation Programme

The programme aims to provide the newly qualified nurses, or nurses with no previous neonatal experience with the theoretical knowledge and the clinical skills and attitudes required to deliver safe, effective and individualised care that meets the unique physical, emotional and social needs of the compromised neonate and family in a variety of settings.

The programme is open to all 19 neonatal units across the Yorkshire and Humber Neonatal Operational Delivery Network. The programme consists of 10 study days delivered over a 6 month period. The content of the course is delivered by practice education teams and clinicians from across the network. Due to Covid-19 the programme is currently delivered via distance learning.
