Adult Social Care Information for the Handbook

Hi all

The adult social care "Community Catalogue" is now live, and available to view at the following link:

http://www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/lgsl/701-750/734_community_catalogue.aspx

This is the first version of the Catalogue - the intention is for this information to be built up and continually added to.  To use the Community Catalogue information in the planned Handbook, we would need to contact those organisations who have submitted information and ask permission (we can do this on your behalf if THINk can produce the text).

In terms of the broader information on adult social care that could be included in the Handbook, my initial ideas would be responses to the following questions:

- Who can use adult social care services?

- What sort of support can adult social care provide?

- How do I get in contact with adult social care at the Council?

- What can I expect from a social care assessment?

- I look after someone.  What support is out there for me?

It would be good to hear people's views on this one.

Hi Joanne

Maybe it would be a good idea to meet up and see if it might be a good idea to set up different sub groups to recruit volunteers to help develop different topics and research local information? I am sure people like Lin & Nicola from the peoples platform groups would be interested in being involved in developing this project?

take care
