Train to Make a Difference

We've been overwhelmed by the level of interest in our training programs
Ours course is the ONLY  Tai Chi and Qigong training endorsed and supported by CIMSPA who are the official government body for physical activity in the UK. Their work is supported by the NHS, Royal College of Surgeons, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and more...

Tai Chi is being widely used within the NHS for patient rehabilitation due to the extensive research and positive effect on a range of medical conditions. We previously ran a study on the effectiveness of tai chi in phase III & IV cardiac rehab; the result were so positive that a DVD was produced which is the only tai chi DVD available in the NHS. This led to us being awarded a contract for COPD rehab; this contract has the highest patient attendance/attendance in the UK.

Tai Chi has also been shown to be the most effective method of falls prevention training (Wolf et al.) and is supported by the recommendations of NICE clinical guideline 161

We are running two programs this year:
1) The 8-day course (dates shown below) at £800 per person
The dates are:
  • Module 1: May 4th & 5th
  • Module 2: July 6th & 7th
  • Module 3: September 14th & 15th
  • Module 4: November 16th & 17th

The course is held in Birmingham and includes all manuals, DVD’s and supporting material.
For a breakdown of the course content and payment options, please click on this link

2) We are also running a 2-day Tai Chi Qigong (Shibashi) course 4th & 5th May at £300 per person.

PLEASE NOTE: there are many people teaching Shibashi in the UK, but there are only 4 people officially certified, by the originator Professor Lin Hou Sheng, to do so; the trainer for this course (Mark Peters) is one of those 4 people so you can be assured of the highest level of training.
A few places have already been reserved on both courses so if you are considering booking, please call us on (0121) 251 6172 or email

the courses are nearly full so don't hesitate.

Best regards,

Mark Peters
