About us

The Strategic HR & OD network developed out of interest from HR Business Partners in the NHS in London to establish their own network. It is aimed at HR & OD practitioners working at a strategic level in the NHS in London. Many members of the network are HR Business Partners and Heads of Service.

Following focus groups, HPMA London Academy agreed to co-ordinate physical meetings of the network and established a steering group of representatives from the network. The steering group oversee the network and plan the agendas.

Link with other networks such as the HRDs’ and the Deputies’ Network to ensure coherency in information and direction of network

The network has established this virtual network to allow communication amongst network members between meetings.  

Purpose of the Network

The network has three main functions as follows:

  • Enable informal and formal networking.
  • Sharing of good practice and taking forward discrete areas of work
  • Professional and personal development for members

Establishment/Ownership of the Network

The network will be supported by and works in partnership with the HPMA London Academy
