Video consultations to care homes in Stafford

Up to 2. New consultation types

Practices in Stafford have been using video consultations to provide more responsive care for patients in care homes, without having to spend so much time travelling.

GPs use a webcam or tablet to call the care home, where a new "V-Doc" trolley has a tablet and equipment for self-assessment such as a pulse oximeter.

Early data shows that the use of a video consultation reduces the need for the GP to visit in person by 50%.

More information is at https://www.video-consultation.co.uk/ and in the videos below.
