Wessex Neurology Intelligence Report Launch

The inaugural Wessex Neurological Commissioning Network ran in conjunction with Wessex SCN, with a focus on launching a new neurological intelligence report.

The report linked neurology data analysis with practical examples of how service delivery has been improved in other areas across the country, so as to encourage and facilitate efforts in Wessex. The meeting expanded on this further and discussed where CCGs and providers need to focus their efforts for the future.

The meeting brought together like minded people from primary and secondary care across Wessex SCN and associated organisations involved in the commissioning and delivery of neurology services to better support patients with neurological conditions. It provided a platform for active discussion and exchange of ideas to cope with the commissioning challenges which were being encountered in neurology through a more integrated way.

The event was held on Tuesday 19th April 2016 at The Grand Habour Hotel in Southampton.

The aims of the day were to:

  • Launch the Wessex SCN data intelligence report
  • Increase awareness of the impact of emergency admissions for people with neurological conditions
