NHS England Update: audit to support funding boost to IPR

Up to Additional Mental Health Information
July 24. 2017

NHS England is undertaking an audit of specialist employment services available within secondary mental health services to understand the baseline position in relation to IPS. The audit will capture the levels of activity within secondary mental health employment services, the profile of people being supported, amount of investment being made to them, and the profile of the supporting workforce. The audit will also explore levels of fidelity to the IPS model.  Transformation funding for the expansion of IPS services will become available from 2018/19, which will be distributed via a bidding process which will be opened to STP areas by the end of 2017. Bids will be invited from STPs as opposed to from individual CCGs to encourage partnership working between the NHS, local authorities and Job Centre Plus.
