About us - Regional Mental Health Networks

Welcome to the Regional Mental Health Network’s supporting website. Wilmington Healthcare (formerly NHiS) has been organising Mental Health Commissioning Network conferences since 2011 supported by financial sponsorship from commercial partners, enabling free attendance for NHS and related professionals. Initially launched with an East Midlands focus, the series has expanded to cover eight areas of England resulting in a portfolio of 67 events. In 2017, the networks name was updated to Regional Mental Health Transformation and Sustainability Networks to reflect the evolving focus of commissioning towards Sustainability and Transformation partnerships. Subsequently aligning to Health Service Journal (HSJ) as HSJ Regional Networks, the half day progressive meetings promote the commissioning of high quality, outcomes focused, value for money Mental Health services in local health economy areas, aligning to Integrated Care System models. Collaborating with locally identified Chairs, Clinical Networks, Academic Health Science Networks, NICE and NHS England to develop the events, they bring together like minded people involved in mental health commissioning to share best practice, discuss challenges and devise take home actions. Previous presentations, attendees, evaluations and agendas for all meetings across the Regional Mental Health Commissioning Network footprints are available to view via the ‘Documents’ menu option. Please take the opportunity to look at the great ideas raised at these events, make a note of the people involved in innovative practice, and network with them to adapt their successes to your own locality.
