About us - Regional GI and Liver Networks

Welcome to the Regional GI and Liver Network’s supporting website. Wilmington Healthcare (formerly NHiS) has been organising Regional Commissioning Network conferences since 2011 supported by financial sponsorship from commercial partners, enabling free attendance for NHS and related professionals. Initially launched with a Mental Health focus in the East Midlands, the series has expanded to cover five specialties across eight areas of England. In 2017, the GI and Liver Network was introduced and subsequently aligned to Health Service Journal (HSJ) as HSJ Regional Networks. The half day progressive meetings promote the commissioning of high quality, outcomes focused, value for money services for GI and Liver conditions in local health economy areas, aligning to Integrated Care System models. Collaborating with The British Society of Gastroenterology to develop the events, they bring together like minded people involved in the commissioning of services to share best practice, discuss challenges and devise take home actions. Previous presentations, attendees, evaluations and agendas for all meetings across the Regional GI and Liver Network footprints are available to view via the ‘Documents’ menu option. Please take the opportunity to look at the great ideas raised at these events, make a note of the people involved in innovative practice, and network with them to adapt their successes to your own locality.
