Welcome to the Regional Diabetes Mellitus Transformation and Sustainability Networks website. NHiS (now part of Wilmington Healthcare) has been organising regional commissioning network meetings which have developed over the last six years across England covering Mental Health, Neurology and Rheumatology. Wilmington Healthcare is an independent company who organise the meetings, working closely with NHS partners to ensure that the agenda addresses local priorities and also shares relevant work programmes. We are delighted to announce that this year the meetings are expanding to include a Diabetes prevention and treatment work stream. Inaugural meetings have been successfully held in the East Midlands and South East during spring 2017, and a further four networks will now be rolled out to offer regional coverage across the North West, West Midlands, East of England and North East, Yorkshire and Humber. The aim of the networks is to support the commissioning of high quality, outcomes focused and value for money diabetes services that support your local STP delivery. They will bring together like minded people from across healthcare, local authorities, the third sector and other relevant stakeholders who are involved in the commissioning and delivery of services to prevent, care for and support patients with diabetes. The meetings will provide a platform for active discussion and exchange of ideas to deliver diabetes prevention and management in a more integrated way. Information on specific events may be found under the separate relevant tabs on this website. The 2017 meetings series is supported financially through the provision of sponsorship by Napp and other Industry partners; however this involvement is strictly on a non-promotional basis, focussing on educational content, service developments and partnership working. Please take this opportunity to sign up to our Networks website for updates and information regarding this new and exciting branch of networking events organised by Wilmington Healthcare. Contact networkevents@wilmingtonhealthcare.com to share your ideas about what you would like to see on the website and at the Diabetes Transformation and Sustainability Network events. (less...)
