GPhC issues clarification on standard 3.4

Back in September 2010 the GPhC issued standards of conduct, ethics and performance and sent it out to all pharmacists...

... within the standard the section 3.4 caused some disconcern as it sets out the requirement for pharmacy professionals when faced with issues of moral or religious belief affecting their practice.

The GPhC does not issue new standards but clarifies the above mentioned issue in a guidance paper.

The guidance emphasises that pharmacists deciding on their religious or moral beliefs will not be disadvantaged but tries to advice on the circumstances.
