CALL FOR POSTERS – QNI Nursing for All Conference

Entries are invited from those working in the field of homeless and inclusion health to promote any area of their clinical practice which reflects the conference theme of Nursing for All.

Posters should relate to a direct nursing intervention or new way of working with a client group, which led to an improved clinical outcome and/or patient experience.  20 entries will be selected to display their poster at this conference.
On the day of the conference there will be a prize for the poster judged to reflect the most innovative project. The poster will be judged on its clinical outcomes achieved and its ability to communicate the message.
Poster judges are Dr June Crown, Vice-President of the QNI and President of Medact, and Joanna Sagnella, Communications Officer at the QNI. This is an excellent way to share your practice improvements with peers.

  • You must be a nurse working in community or primary care within the arena of either homeless health, refugee/asylum seeker health, gypsy/traveller health or sex worker health and have direct contact with patients.
  • You must be able to report on the tangible benefit/outcomes of the intervention.

The Outstanding Service Award is awarded to nurses who provide exceptional care to their patients and demonstrate a continuing passion and enthusiasm for nursing which advances community nursing.

This award is not a reward for length of service, but an acknowledgement that this nurse contributes to nursing in a way that distinguishes him/her from the norm.

  • The nurse must have given a minimum of 10 years’ service in community nursing, be able to demonstrate a  continuing commitment to the principles of excellent nursing care to the benefit of patients and be able to demonstrate an outstanding contribution to both patients and the profession over and above the normal call of duty.

Nominations are now open, and the next deadline is Monday 8 February 2016.
