Developing a framework for managing staff sickness absence

Sickness absence is a measure of staff health in the North West, previous improvements have not been sustained during the economic downtown.  This creates a challenge and requires targeted evidence based interventions to tackle the causes of ill health, work and non-work related, and also improvement in the occupational health pathways, to remove delays to returning to work successfully.  The second in the series of QI webexes adressed this issue and was led by Dr Richard Preece, Consultant in Occupational Health and Melissa Holley, Head of HR Management, both from Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
