Northwest Paediatric Palliative Care Forum
What is the Northwest Paediatric Palliative Care Forum?
The Northwest Paediatric Palliative Care Forum is a multidisciplinary meeting for professionals from all fields allied to Paediatric Palliative Care in the Northwest
We aim to provide a varied programme of topics including:
· Guest lectures
· Case presentations
· Original research
· Literature review
· Ethical debate
· Audit presentations
We have now also just started a programme of Regional Paediatric Palliative Care Audits. These will assess best practice and hopefully set standards for Paediatric Palliative Care in the Northwest. The outcomes of the audits will be presented at the NWPPCF in due course.
By providing a forum for shared experience and informal discussion facilitates ways for professionals from different backgrounds and care settings to work more effectively together; filling the existing gaps in service provision and fostering an environment for research.
Who should attend?
All professionals from the NHS and charitable organisations with an interest in Paediatric Palliative Care: social workers, nurses, doctors, teachers, therapists….
How much will it cost?
Attendance, including a sandwich lunch, is free.
How often are the meetings held?
Meetings are held quarterly. The day of the meeting and the venue will vary so that as many people as possible can attend.
How can I take part?
We really value your views. Please use the attached reply slip to let us know what you think. We need your continued contributions to ensure the ongoing success of this project.
