About us

The North Trent Network covers nine neonatal units in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and North East Lincolnshire who all work together closely  to ensure that newborn infants and their families receive appropriate care, in a setting able to meet their needs, as close to home as possible.

The main focus of the Network is neonatal services which includes:

Neonatal Medicine
Neonatal Intensive Care
Neonatal Surgery

The network are also has established links into other areas including paediatric services and obstetrics & gynaecology (including midwifery).

The Network is a collaborative partnership between service providers and PCT commissioners who jointly review, plan, commission and oversee the clinical development of the service.

There are 7 provider NHS Trusts that participate within the Network incorporating nine neonatal units:

Doncaster & Bassetlaw  Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Doncaster Royal Infirmary & Bassetlaw DGH)
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Northern Lincolnshire & Goole Hospitals NHS Trust (Grimsby, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital & Scunthorpe GH)
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (The Jessop Wing)
Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust
Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
