About us

The NLP in Healthcare Network came about because as I met more and more NHS professionals working with NLP I have come to realise there was no real portal to share their experiences and knowledge. Here is a place for us all to do that.

Who am I?

My name is Mark Peters and I am based in South Birmingham. I have been working within the NHS for 15+ years teaching NLP and tai chi as a patient rehabilitation program for falls prevention, COPD, Cardiac phase 3 & 4, pain management and more.

In the last few years I have been teaching NLP for Healthcare Professionals in a number of areas:

  • Preceptorship
  • staff development - management
  • management of change
  • Patient change work as an alternative to CBT
  • Anxiety, stress, depression, smoking, weight management and more...

What are my hopes?

I hope, as you share your knowledge and experience, we can build a strong allience and network that we can call on for help and development. Remember the presuposition "if we keep doing the same thing, we'll keep getting the same results", well now is the time to do something different and really start to share and develop NLP in a way that will spread through the NHS and enable more effective and lasting change to occur.
