Technical hitch overcome (posted 4 Feb 11)
It transpires that a glitch has prevented many of you from joining our Transforming Pathology Network. We have been working with the technical team, and service has now resumed. Please do try again to log in and join the conversation, inputting your thoughts and suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.
Calling all GPs and practice managers (posted 4 Feb 11)
The TPS project is seeking to clearly define the service requirements of primary care; what do GPs want from a pathology service and what level of service do they expect?
There are several ways in which GPs and practice managers can get actively involved and help to shape the future of pathology services:
- Complete our questionnaire, thinking about your practice's pathology service needs and how they might best be met. Responses from an early pilot of this questionnaire have been very informative. It only takes a few minutes to complete and can be done online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/99P229P. Please be assured that responses will be kept confidential. Responses are encouraged by Friday 18 February.
- Nominate yourself or a colleague for the project board, the composition of which is now being reconfigured to reflect the new phase.
- Nominate yourself or a colleague to take part in developing the specifications for a future pathology service.
For more information on these opportunities, please contact Dr Hemal Desai MRCGP (Clinical Lead) or Andrew MacPherson (Director of Strategic Projects) on transforming.pathology@eoe.nhs.uk
