Nurses views on improving practice with information and technology

The RCN is carrying out a survey of nursing staff’s views on the impact of information and communication technology on your professional role.

Devices such as laptops, tablet computers and smart phones are becoming more common in our daily lives and give us much more access to information and networking than ever before.

Similar developments are happening in our professional lives, although at a slower pace. In health and social care information and communication technology (known as eHealth) can support patient management, electronic patient records, remote monitoring and communication with patients and colleagues.

The RCN is keen to ensure that eHealth supports delivery of quality patient outcomes, and that the IT systems and equipment used are safe, fit for purpose and acceptable to clinicians and patients.

To help us do that we need to know your views and experience of using eHealth to support you in your work or study. You can access the survey at: https://response.questback.com/royalcollegeofnursing/rcnehealthsurvey/

The survey is open until 9th November 2012. The online questionnaire will take approximately 20 – 30 minutes to complete and your responses will be confidential.

Please share this link with your colleagues as the more people who respond the better information we will have about your views.

Many thanks
