Telehealth: PHMR Vital Signs draft message release discussion

Filed under:

Building on the work already done around agreeing the vital signs message format we expect the first draft of the PHMR message specification to be released on 17th July. we will follow this up on Thursday 19th July at 12:30 with a WebEx to discuss the message.

We will host a WebEx to discuss;

  • the changes made
  • the challenges
  • and give a demonstration of
    • downloading the specification
    • ‘installing it’
    • Testing a sample message – examples of failure and success
  • How to log a bug – information required, example message etc.

This will be a chance to hear from the development team and ask them questions about the message itself. The WebEx details are at the bottom of this email or a calendar invite, with the WebEx details, is here:

We ask that you return any feedback to us before 8th August 2012. How to submit feedback and the sort of information required will be covered in the call.

The Release Candidate message should be available in the middle of August and be ready for First of Type testing. If you are interested in taking part in First of Type testing please let me know.

Availability of the message will be announced here on NHS Networks, http://www.networks.nhs.uk/nhs-networks/interoperability-toolkit-itk, for those who are not currently signed up to TRUD – the site that will host the actual message specification.

Looking ahead

In August we will host another WebEx shortly after the RC is available to cover points raised by feedback, resulting changes, and the First of Type process in more detail.

In September we will host a meeting in London to review progress and implementation activity. We will also continue the work started on the other three high priority message types, Clinicians Response, Referral and Click Through. The meeting will be advertised on NHS Networks.

Once again many thanks for your assistance in helping us get to this point. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me using the details below.
