Digital by Default – PhysioDirect - improving access to physiotherapy

Key Points:

Builds on a MRC research project undertaken by by Keele University.  Improves access to physiotherapy through telephone assessment and advice.  Patients are sent exercises, information and advice pertinent to their complaint and invited to telephone back if indicated. If they have not improved after an agreed period, or their condition requires further assessment, they are then invited for a face-to-face appointment.
