Use of the HLP Quality Mark

Up to HLP forum
March 12. 2012
Deborah Evans

As part of the NPA’s support of this initiative the Healthy Living Pharmacy (HLP) quality mark has been registered by the NPA, for community pharmacy on behalf of the national pharmacy organisations supporting the HLP Pathfinder programme (CCA, NPA, PSNC, RPS).

During the pathfinder programme, it is important that pharmacies across the country awarded the HLP Quality Mark use the logo consistently and that it is only displayed in pharmacies that the PCT and/or LPC is confident have met and keep meeting the criteria.

The HLP Pathfinder Support Group has therefore agreed that the logo can be only used in materials issued by PCTs and/or LPCs or produced by the supporting pharmacy organisations. In accordance with the guidance of the Pathfinder Support Group this logo will only be given to PCTs and/or LPCs on the condition it is not forwarded to individual pharmacies.

If you wish to use the Healthy Living Pharmacy logo for promotional materials, the guidelines attached indicate how the quality mark should be used.

The HLP Pathfinder Support Group has provided jointly developed resources for HLP Pathfinder development which are available from this NHS Networks website. In addition, at the request of some pathfinders, the NPA has produced a number of materials to engage the public that can be tailored to a pharmacy, or region. Please contact the NPA for more details and note that Pharmacy contractors wishing to use these materials will be verified by the NPA with the awarding PCT.

Yours sincerely,

Deborah Evans
