HLP project progress report

The HLP in Hampshire World Café events have been a great success. At Basingstoke we had over 50 attendees and Mike Holden, CEO of the NPA,  gave an inspiring  presentation on how HLP started and an overview of the national picture. At Lymington we had 60+ people come where Debby Crockford, Chair of the LPC,  gave the key note talk.  At Hordean we had 100 people come despite the weather! Paul Edmondson-Jones, Director of Public Health in Portsmouth, gave an excellent presentation and then spent the evening talking with pharmacy teams and sharing his experience as one of the founder members of Healthy Living Pharmacy.

There is a lot of  enthusiasm for the project and at  the last World Café event on the 17th July in Winchester we had another full house. Deb Evans, national lead for HLP, was the key note speake and  was able to share her extensive knowledge and experience of HLP across the country. Councillor Brian Collins was our  guest and he has joined the project as a member of the board.

The next steps are;

The HLP in Hampshire Project Board will meet to ratify the service specification and begin work on the accreditation process.

A pleasure to be involved and fantastic to see so much engagement on my 'home' patch. Thanks for the invitation and all the best with the initiative across the whole SHIP cluster
