Developing the Role of the Sexual Health Adviser

This module at Brighton University would be a good basis for anyone looking to become a Health Advisor or expand their sexual health knowledge. It will explore current issues in sexual health with relation the sexual health advisor role. This will equip students to strengthen their practice with an increased knowledge of potential challenges, enhanced skills and a greater personal and professional self- awareness to more effectively and innovatively meet clients’ sexual health needs. This exciting and thought provoking programme will include teaching on contemporary issues such as chem- sex, sexual assault, the adult film industry, domestic abuse and also the Trans* community.
