Partnership Equality Impact Assessment

Up to Implementation Plans

Hi all

Have any partnership boards completed a joint Equality Impact Assessment. That is to say a joint one as opposed to simply an NHS one. If not do any Police colleagues have one for the commissioning project.

I have a colleague who asked me if any currently exist and we did have a discussion at the last early adopter forum

Many thanks

HI Ivan,

The legislation regarding the EIA's changed in April 2011, which means there is no longer the requirement to complete a full EIA as we would have done traditionally.  As long as the project can demonstrate due consideration to the issues arround equality, this is adequate.  Having said that, may Constabularies are choosing to complete a 'formal' or traditional assessment!

In our area, Adrian Emberton completed the one for Lancashire, GMP & Cheshire are almost completed.
