Hello again (I'm on a roll with my to do list!
Which preparation calcium do you use for hyperkalaemia, hypocalcaemia in resus (and on wards if you use it?
We always stocked calcium chloride but one consultant pointed out that BNFC has no dosing for calcium chloride in hyperkalaemia but there is dosing for calcium gluconate

Hi,
Calcium gluconate 10% 10ml amps is our standard stock item on paeds. (I didn't know about the chloride abscence in the BNFc)
