About us

EPEN is a network of all professionals practicing paediatric epilepsy in east of England

The network aims to encourage and support childrens' epilepsy teams with a view to improving and sustaining quality epilepsy care across the region. Membership includes consultant paediatricians with special interest and expertise in epilepsy (hospital and community based), paediatric neurologists, specialist nurses, neurophysiologists, adult neurologists and trainees from various speciaities.

The Network meets three times per year - usually at Wolfson College, Cambridge. Details of upcoming meetings and agreed guidelines will be added to this website.

Objectives of this network are

1.  Achieving equitable quality epilepsy care for all children across the region

2. Develop care pathways and guidelines enabling members to deliver standard care for their clients

3. Assimilate, share  and propagate knowledge and experience in paediattric epilepsy

4. Peer review of complex cases with view to obtain expert and peer advise on anonymous patients

5. Promote educational activities for members

6. Promote research and governance in paediatric epilepsy across the region
