HI

We are noticing more women booking with a previous history of gastric surgery, either gastric band or gastric bypass.

Often these women still have a BMI of more than 30 and would br selected for a GTT

I would like to know what  your policy is for performing a GTT on these women and their subsequent , as it is my understanding that those who have had a bypass should NOT have a GTT due to the risk of  " dumping syundrome "

look forwrd to hearing from you

Hi Di

We don't do a GTT for that reason and so I give them a meter and do a 2 week profile.
