Prioritisation of Work Streams

The following work streams are work in progress or have been completed

• Diabetes in Pregnancy care pathway for Coventry & Warwickshire
• Anaesthetic Risk Assessment:to develop a pathway for planned anaesthetic care and to optimise efficiency of planned care – eg planned caesarean
• Obesity in Pregnancy
• Maternal Mental Health
• Low risk pathway
• Patient transfers in utero
• Labour ward/neonatal capacity across the LHE
• Reduce preterm delivery and pre-eclampsia
• Reduce inappropriate intervention, (Caesarean, assisted delivery, induction)
• Maximise safety and effectiveness of emergency care
• Provide excellence in high risk antenatal/preconception care, ultrasound, fetal medicine services etc.
• Provide pre-emptive care for high risk groups, especially non-English speakers
• Provide excellence in education, assessment and appraisal of clinical staff
• Ensure timely data reports on all key outcomes and processes
