Providing a forum for the effective and collaborative planning and improvement of the maternity services

  • The needs of maternity network are paramount and transcend organisational boundaries
  • Effective partnership means a partnership of equals and collaborative working are more likely to sustain both quality and local access
  • The need to embrace best practice and evidence-based practice – disseminate and celebrate good practise across the Coventry & Warwickshire locality

The draft core membership is a balanced representation geographically and professionally. Members are to act as conduits of two-way information for their respective organisations and professional groups. Membership will be subject to review on a yearly basis or sooner should this prove necessary.

The full Network will agree its work plan and priorities and establish working groups accordingly, with co-opted members as appropriate as required, copied into minutes and action reports/highlight reports as and when produced, and will attend meetings as and when appropriate.

Links will be established with the CNN network through its Network Manager, as well as linking into Warwick, George Eliot and Coventry Maternity Services Liaison Committee’s (MSLC’s).

This network is perceived to be a vehicle for interagency work and interfacing with other work programmes as and when necessary.
