The Royal College of General Practitioners has issued new guidance to help GPs navigate ethical dilemmas that may arise in making commissioning decisions. ‘Making Difficult Choices - Ethical Commissioning Guidance to General Practitioners’, is aimed at all GPs, but particularly those who will have a role as commissioners in clinical commissioning groups in England. It focuses on allocating resources fairly, GPs role as commissioners and potential conflicts of interest.
