Two thirds would pay more tax for better health and social care

Two thirds of people say they would pay more tax to halt the decline of health and social care services.

A survey conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Health Foundation indicates that there is increasing public support for increasing taxation for this purpose. The public highlight lack of investment in the NHS and long waiting times as the top issues facing the health service, followed by concerns around an insufficient and overworked workforce.
