New contracts for 2011/12 effective 1 April 2011 are:

·         Acute hospital services contract

·         Mental health and learning disability services contract

·         Community services contract

·         Care homes contract

Standard variations to all existing contracts continue to be effective after 1 April 2011.

The contracts support and reflect the NHS operating framework for 2011/12 and should be read in conjunction with the Principles and Rules for Co-operation and Competition and the PCT Procurement Guide.
