Support for vulnerable practices
PCC is working with NHS England local offices and CCGs to provide support for practices, funded as part of a range of measures under the GP Forward View.
So called “vulnerable” practices – which could include up a quarter of all practices in England – are eligible for a share of £40m earmarked for practice development under the General Practice Resilience Programme. Recently we wrote to all NHS local offices advising them of our support service that is currently being delivered in a number of areas, details of which are also being shared with CCGs. Practices interested in receiving expert help, starting with a confidential diagnostic visit and leading to development of a practice-owned improvement plan and further targeted support, are invited to contact PCC associate director Mark Beesley at mark.beesley@pcc.nhs.uk for more information.
