Stoke practices get engaged on social media
GP practices in Stoke are using social media to address clinical problems not broadcast corporate messages to an indifferent population.
It’s too early to talk about clinical outcomes, but the practices are managing to engage thousands of local people in conversations about weight management, depression and hypertension. They are also promoting health education, self-care and community events in a scheme that started with cash incentives for practices, but now relies on healthy competition.
