State of play and challenges ahead for health and wellbeing boards

In April 2013, health and wellbeing boards became fully-fledged statutory bodies.

Their introduction has been widely welcomed across local government, health and health-related organisations. There are high expectations that they will better coordinate health and care services and drive improvements to raise local health outcomes.
