Spread of drug resistant TB

Public Health England is highlighting the importance of genetic strain typing of multi drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) to increase case identification.

MDR-TB most commonly spreads between people born in the UK who have a history of drug use, or within specific ethnic communities, according to a new study from Public Health England (PHE) published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases.
