Smokers are urged to quit for Valentine’s Day

Smokers are being urged to improve their romantic chances by stopping smoking on Valentine’s Day (14 February). They can pick up a free “quit kit” from their local pharmacy to help them.

More than 8 million people in England smoke and half of these are likely to die from smoking related diseases if they do not quit. By stopping smoking, smokers could increase their life expectancy by 16 years and save thousands of pounds.

Free quit kits are now available from local pharmacies. To find your nearest quit kit pharmacy stockist text “search” and your postcode to 88088 or search online on the smokefree website, which also gives help and advice on quitting smoking.
