RSPH campaigns to avoid young deaths

The RSPH (Royal Society for Public Health) is leading a national Human Papillomavirus (HPV) education programme to raise awareness and understanding about HPV and cervical cancer.

Health professionals, teachers, healthy schools co-ordinators, parents, young people, welfare officers all have an essential role to play in this public health programme in creating a supportive educational and organisational environment for young people to take informed action to protect themselves against cervical cancer.

Dr Syed Nayyer Abidi, a fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health will lead this awareness campaign.

Programme materials are now available to download: HPV and Cervical Cancer: What you and your pupils need to know is a new UK centric curriculum linked education programme developed by the Royal Society of Health to support teachers, school nurses and health professionals in introducing and raising awareness of the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination programme.
