Royal college urges better training

A report from the Royal College of Physicians warns that doctors’ professionalism is coming under growing pressure from increased workload, which could have an adverse effect on their job satisfaction and standards of care.

The report points to a growing gap between what doctors are trained to do and the realities of their workplace – competing ideals of what is good practice, rising demand, and increasing regulatory and legal obligations.
