RCGP publishes ‘tech manifesto’
The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) says a technology-driven revolution in patient care will only happen when the NHS has a comprehensive, joined-up IT system.
The college’s “tech manifesto” recognises the exciting potential of genomics, AI, digital medicine and robotics to revolutionise patient care and improve patient safety, but says that widespread improvement will only be possible once robust, secure IT systems are in place for all GP practices and all areas of the NHS have access to fast interconnected computer networks.
