Public sector staff need an alternative to austerity, says Unison
Public sector union Unison has published results of a survey of 1,000 of its members and analysis of ONS jobs data.
With the number of people employed in the public sector now at the lowest proportion of those in paid work since comparable records began, the survey finds that those who are left find themselves overworked, undervalued and deeply concerned about the impact that worsening working conditions are having on service quality and service delivery.
