Outcomes measures, indicators, frameworks and trajectories

Developers of value-based systems need to be able to measure and potentially contract for the outcomes they determine.

They need to be able to specify, measure and understand what indicators will be used to measure outcomes and what other metrics should be used to monitor progress and show evidence of value.

Some of these will need to be used within contracts, to hold providers to account. Equally important is being able to demonstrate to everyone in the system, including patients, that the outcomes agreed are being achieved.

This workshop on 4 May in Birmingham and 11 May in London examines the detail of data and metrics used in a value-based approach and is suitable for leaders and senior managers of commissioning and provider organisations.
