Nurses consult on new standards for district nursing

The Queen’s Nursing Institute and its Scottish counterpart are developing voluntary standards for district nurse education and practice, and have now published a draft for consultation.

The proposed voluntary standards would enhance the current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards and ensure nurses undertaking the SPQ are equipped for contemporary and future practice.

The new draft voluntary standards can be viewed on the QNI’s website.
