NICE recommends Cancer Drugs Fund treatment for prostate cancer for routine NHS use

More prostate cancer patients will receive radium-223 after NICE approved it for routine NHS use.Radium-223 is offered to people who have prostate cancer which has then spread to the bone.

This recommendation means that prostate cancer patients who have not already received docetaxel treatment can access radium-223 through the NHS and no longer need to access the Cancer Drugs Fund.
