NICE approves COPD treatment roflumilast for routine NHS use

Thousands of patients could benefit from roflumilast, also known as Daxas, to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) after NICE said it should be more widely available.

Draft guidance has been shared with registered organisations who can appeal the decision or highlight factual inaccuracies. If there are no appeals, the final guideline will publish in July and roflumilast will be available on the NHS three months later.
