NHS workforce increases by 1.6% in a year

The total number of full time equivalents (FTE) employed by the NHS increased by nearly 19,800 between March 2017 and March 2018, new figures from NHS Digital show.

A total of 1,230,000 FTEs were employed by the health service across NHS trusts, CCGs, NHS support organisations and central bodies in England as well as in general practice. More....
