NHS Outcomes Framework indicators, February 2016

The NHS Outcomes Framework provides national level accountability for the outcomes the NHS delivers, focusing on transparency, quality improvement and outcome measurement.

It also sets out the national outcome goals that the secretary of state uses to monitor the progress of NHS England. It does not set out how these outcomes should be delivered, which is for NHS England to determine working with CCGs.

The February 2016 release includes both new and revised data points, the release of a new indicator and the release of new health inequality summary measures.
