NHS Leadership Academy a useful platform

A national centre - the NHS Leadership Academy - was launched on 10 April to produce and inspire current and future generations of NHS leaders.

Unveiled by health secretary Andrew Lansley last year, the NHS Leadership Academy was formally launched in April 2012 to help develop outstanding leadership in order to improve patients’ experiences, their health outcomes and well-being.

The Academy will work with doctors, nurses, health professionals and NHS managers, as well as public health and social care professionals, and with health and wellbeing boards.
