NHS introduces mental health job coaches

NHS England is to expand a scheme to help patients with serious mental health problems to find employment.

The voluntary scheme is being extended to 28 new local NHS areas covering most of the country. The scheme could help 20,000 people a year by 2020/21 rising to 55,000 people a year by 2023/24. Patients hoping to get back into work can be referred by a doctor or other mental health professional or can self-refer.
