NHS England backs general practice with £2.4bn funding plan
NHS England has set out a multi-billion pound plan to get general practice back on its feet, improve patient care and access, and invest in new ways of providing primary care.
The General Practice Forward View has been developed with Health Education England and in discussion with the Royal College of GPs and other GP representatives. NHS England says the plan will mean an extra £2.4 billion a year for general practice services by 2020/21.
